Sun Takeda’s “superhuman hero action” manga series, Guardian, will publish its final chapter on August 29, 2025. The conclusion will appear in the next issue of Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine.
The Premise of Guardian
Guardian is set in a world where “superhumans,” individuals with partially or fully mutated bodies, have begun to appear. The story follows Kanata Arakawa, a superhuman nicknamed “Rocket Man,” who possesses immense strength capable of destroying giant monsters with a single blow. However, Arakawa does not use his powers for conventional heroic deeds, instead pursuing his own objectives. The manga is categorized as a seinen (aimed at young adult males) action and fantasy series.
Publication History
Takeda launched Guardian in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine in March 2024. The first compiled book volume was released in September 2024, followed by the second volume on April 30, 2025.
