The upcoming original anime Bullet/Bullet, directed by Sunghoo Park of Jujutsu Kaisen fame, has revealed its cast and a confirmed release date. The high-octane action series is slated to premiere on Disney+’s “Star” brand on July 16, with the first eight episodes dropping at once, followed by episodes nine through twelve on August 13.
Bullet/Bullet: A Post-Apocalyptic Heist Story
Bullet/Bullet is an original anime series conceived by Sunghoo Park over a decade. The story is set in a near-future where civilization has collapsed, transforming the world into a wasteland where people scavenge for relics of the past to survive. The anime promises a “super happy” non-stop action experience.
The plot revolves around Gear, a boy who works at a junk shop and runs a “theft business” to reclaim unjustly stolen items. He partners with Shirokuma (Polar Bear), a gambling addict, and Qu-0213, a robot possessing four distinct personalities, to carry out their heists. Their lives take a turn when a mysterious girl named Noa, pursued by an assassin, requests their help to steal back an item. This sets Gear and his crew on a path where they are hunted by an armed group from the wasteland, as they may have inadvertently stolen a secret with the potential to shake the entire world. The series carries the tagline: “Junk people, change the world into pop!”

- Marina Inoue as Gear, the protagonist, a junk shop worker with a desire to escape to the outside world, who runs a “theft business”.
- Kazuhiro Yamaji as Shirokuma (Polar Bear), a gambling addict who partners with Gear in the theft business.
- Rie Kugimiya as Qu-0213 Nosa-ane, one of the four personalities of the Qu-0213 robot, who cares for Gear like a younger brother.
- Kana Hanazawa as Qu-0213 Kau-ane, Nosa-ane’s twin sister, with a delinquent personality. Hanazawa expressed excitement about working in sync with Kugimiya and hopes viewers enjoy the fast-paced story and action.
- Tomokazu Seki as Qu-0213 Naka-ani, the robot’s laid-back uncle personality.
- Ai Orikasa as Qu-0213 Ei-baba, the kindhearted grandmother personality and the team’s cook.
- Asami Seto as Noa, the mysterious girl being chased by an assassin.
- Makoto Furukawa as Barrel, the boss of an armed group from the wasteland. Furukawa notes that one of the themes is how to face your own way of life.
- Takamasa Mogi as Wheel, Barrel’s close aide.
