A Spooky School Mystery Unveiled
The anime is a prequel to Natsuhiko Kyogoku’s Hyakki Yako novel series. Set in Tokyo in 1948, after the war, the story revolves around Kanna Kusakabe, a high school student, and Akihiko Chuzenji, her new Japanese language teacher. Mysterious supernatural events occur around Kanna, leading her to seek help from the surly Chuzenji-sensei in the library prep room.
