On one side lives Akito Satsuki, a polite and overly-sweet man, while on the other is Haruma Usada, a hot-headed individual who often expresses irritation at Rinko’s noisy anime viewing sessions. The twist reveals that Haruma is, in fact, the creator of Rinko’s favorite manga, “Usaneko-bu”. This forced proximity and the accidental “shared living arrangement” set the stage for a romcom filled with laughter and unexpected romantic developments as Rinko’s world is turned upside down.

Makoto Takada is also credited for scriptwriting, while Shunsuke Kikuchi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, Migi & Dali) is handling character design and serving as chief animation director.

The anime boasts a notable voice cast for its main characters. Kana Hanazawa, celebrated for her roles in numerous popular anime, will voice the protagonist Rinko Nakama. A full-color print version of the manga, published by Enterbrain under their B’s Log Comics imprint, began its release on December 1, 2025, with a second volume following on December 27, and includes exclusive bonus stories.
