The highly anticipated second season of the “Tales of Wedding Rings” (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) anime is set to premiere on October 4, 2025, with new details emerging regarding its theme song artists. Sizuk will return to perform the opening theme, while Akari Kitō, the voice of the main character Hime, will take on the ending theme.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, August 27, coinciding with Satō and Hime’s wedding anniversary in the manga, and included the unveiling of a new key visual for the upcoming season.

Unveiling the Musical Talent

The musical landscape for “Tales of Wedding Rings Season 2” will feature familiar and beloved voices. Sizuk, who also performed the opening theme “Lover’s Eye” for the first season, will deliver the new opening theme song titled “Daybreak.” Complementing this, Akari Kitō, known for her role as Hime, will perform the ending theme song, “any if.” This marks a dual role for Kitō, contributing both her voice acting and singing talents to the series.

Premiere Date and Streaming Information

“Tales of Wedding Rings Season 2” will begin its broadcast in Japan on October 4, 2025. The “uncensored version” is slated to premiere on the AT-X channel at 9:30 p.m. JST, followed by broadcasts on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 10:00 p.m. JST, and Sun TV at 10:30 p.m. JST.

For viewers in Japan, the anime will also be available for streaming on ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai services. The uncensored version will start streaming on ABEMA and U-NEXT from October 11. Crunchyroll currently streams the first season of the anime and the English language version of the manga.

Returning Production Team and Story Overview

The main staff from the first season will return to bring the next chapter of “Tales of Wedding Rings” to life. Takashi Naoya (known for Real Girl) will once again direct the anime at Staple Entertainment. Deko Akao (After the Rain) is in charge of series scripts, and Saori Nakashiki (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) returns as the character designer. Other returning staff members include Matsuo Asami as Unit Director, Kiyoshi Tateishi for Sub-Character Design, and Satoshi Hōno composing the music.

The story of “Tales of Wedding Rings,” based on the romantic fantasy manga by Maybe, follows high school student Satō, who is secretly in love with his best friend, Hime. When Hime returns to her home world to get married, Satō follows her, crashing the wedding and unexpectedly becoming her new groom and the legendary “Ring King.” To protect Hime and her kingdom, Satō must gather four more rings and marry four more princesses from different kingdoms to unlock his full powers against the Abyss King. The second season will pick up after Satō’s party faces a setback, being saved by Alabaster and retreating to recover. Miyu Tomita is also joining the cast in the role of Morion.
