English Dub Cast Brings Characters to Life
A talented roster of voice actors has been assembled to bring the English dub of The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest to fruition. Eduardo Vildasol will voice the protagonist, Alec, while Mikaela Krantz takes on the role of Yorha. Other key cast members include Zac Loera as Ornest, Celeste Perez as Kracia, and Parker Davis Gray as Regulus. Hayden Daviau is cast as Leni, William Ofoegbu as Iks, and Daniel Van Thomas as Eldas. Additionally, Izzi Raine will voice Young Alec, Lily Gast as Misha, Ryan Seale as Dragon, Drew Kocour as Demon, and Robin Clayton as Girl.
English Dub Production Team
Behind the scenes, the English dub is being helmed by an experienced crew. Caitlin Glass serves as the Voice Director, with Samantha Herek as Producer. Audrey Drake Rigg is responsible for the adaptation, Rickey Watkins as the Mixer, and Jeremy Woods as the Engineer.
Anime’s Premise and Japanese Broadcast
The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, known in Japanese as Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahō ni Tesshiteita Kyūtei Mahōshi, Tsuihō Sarete Saikyō o Mezasu, originally premiered in Japan on October 4, 2025. The series is produced by studio GEKKOU, with Ken Takahashi directing and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling series composition. Yoko Sato is credited with character designs.
The story centers on Alec Ygret, a court magician who dedicated his skills to support magic for the crown prince. However, he is unjustly cast aside and exiled for supposedly only knowing support magic. Hitting rock bottom, Alec reunites with his former comrade Yorha Eisentz from the legendary party “Lasting Period.” Invited to rejoin the team, Alec embarks on a new adventure, aiming to become the strongest. This fantasy series is based on a light novel by Alto, which began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2020. A manga adaptation by Yuki Monji has also been serialized since July 2021.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime worldwide, excluding Asia, and has been actively promoting it as part of their Fall 2025 anime lineup. The Japanese opening theme song, “Quest,” is performed by Kiro Akiyama, while the ending theme, “Kakera,” is performed by aruma.
