Fans can now experience the magical world of Arthur Leywin with a brand new voice cast, adding another layer to this already popular series. The English dub of “The Beginning After the End” premiered on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, on Crunchyroll. This gave English-speaking audiences the chance to dive deeper into the story of King Grey’s reincarnation as Arthur Leywin.

About “The Beginning After the End”

“The Beginning After the End” began as a web novel written by TurtleMe and illustrated by Fuyuki23, first serialized on Tapas in January 2017. Its popularity led to a webtoon adaptation, also illustrated by Fuyuki23, which began serialization on Tapas in July 2018. Yen Press is publishing the webtoon in English.

The anime adaptation, produced by Studio A-Cat and directed by Keitaro Motonaga, premiered on April 2, 2025. The series features music by Keiji Inai, character designs by Masami Sueoka, and series composition by Takamitsu Kono. The opening theme song is “Kingsblood” performed by KALA, and the ending theme song is “Mahiru no Tsuki” (Midday Moon) performed by Seiza.

Story Synopsis

“The Beginning After the End” follows the story of King Grey, who, after a mysterious death, is reborn as Arthur Leywin in a world filled with magic and monsters. Retaining the memories and knowledge of his past life, Arthur seeks to correct his past mistakes and find purpose in this new world.
