The new trailer offers a glimpse into the heartwarming adventure of Hajime Shinonome and his unexpected ward, Rirui, setting the stage for its global simulcast on Crunchyroll.

Trailer Unveiling and January Premiere Confirmed

Fans received their latest look at the upcoming series through a recently released main trailer, which solidified the anime’s January 2026 premiere window. The anime was initially announced in May 2025, building anticipation for this unique fantasy story. The visuals from the trailer highlight the serene yet adventurous life of Hajime Shinonome and the spirited young girl, Rirui, whom he takes under his wing.

A Look at the Story and Characters

The narrative of The Daily Life of a Single 29-Year-Old Adventurer centers on Hajime Shinonome, a skilled silver-ranked adventurer residing in Komai Village. Having endured a difficult childhood in the slums, Hajime deeply values his peaceful existence, dedicating himself to guild quests and hunting for sustenance. His tranquil life takes an unexpected turn when he ventures into a dungeon and rescues Rirui, a young orphan girl, from a slime monster. Remembering his own past struggles, Hajime decides to adopt Rirui, leading to a communal life filled with laughter and challenges.

The anime features a talented voice cast bringing these characters to life:

  • Hajime Shinonome voiced by Makoto Furukawa.
  • Rirui voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro.
  • Veronica Bali voiced by Shizuka Ito.
  • Anyango voiced by Yuki Kuwahara.
  • Rishat voiced by Tomohiro Ono.
  • Olive Carmen voiced by Yuna Ogata.
  • Natalie voiced by Kaori Maeda.
  • Cocko voiced by Haruka Shiraishi.
  • Cockdole voiced by Yasunori Matsumoto.

Production Team and Theme Songs

The animation production is helmed by studio Hornets. Riki Fukushima is credited as both the director and responsible for the series composition. Character designs are handled by Yoshihiro Nagamori, with music composed by Akinari Suzuki, Johannes Nilsson, and Manami Takamoto of Team-MAX.

Musical artists HoneyWorks will perform both the opening and ending theme songs. The opening theme is titled “Kimi ga Tomoshite Kureta Hikari o Ima,” featuring Hanon, while the ending theme, “Kimi no Tonari wa Kūki ga Oishii,” will feature Kotoha.

Where to Watch

For international audiences, Crunchyroll has confirmed it will simulcast The Daily Life of a Single 29-Year-Old Adventurer as it airs in Japan, making it accessible to fans worldwide.

The Manga’s Journey

The anime is an adaptation of the manga series by Ippei Nara, which began its serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in January 2016. The manga has since been compiled into 20 tankōbon volumes as of September 2025, garnering a dedicated readership with its unique blend of adventure and slice-of-life elements.
