Unraveling a “Dark History”: The Anime’s Premise
“The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess” follows the story of Konoha Satou, a young woman with a rather embarrassing past: her teenage years were spent writing self-indulgent fantasy romance stories, which she refers to as her “Dark History.” Her life takes an unexpected turn when she dies in a traffic accident while attempting to prevent her mother from discovering these fics.
Upon regaining consciousness, Konoha finds herself reincarnated into the very world of her own “Dark History,” not as her self-insert heroine, but as Iana Magnolia, the most despicable villainess she created. Now, remembering every intricate detail of her own narrative becomes a matter of life or death as she navigates a world filled with “death flags” and characters she originally penned. The plot thickens with the unexpected return of a mysterious stranger, Yomi, from the Lily Kingdom, a character Konoha doesn’t recall writing, adding a layer of uncertainty and danger to her predicament.
