“The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess” Plot Overview
The anime follows Konoha Satou, a working adult who, after a tragic accident, finds herself reincarnated into the world of her own embarrassing middle school fanfiction, “Dark History.” The catch? She’s not the heroine, but Iana Magnolia, the villainess she meticulously created to be utterly despicable. Now, Iana must use her intimate knowledge of her own story to navigate the perilous plot, avoid death flags, and strive for a peaceful life in a world she designed to be against her.
The original Japanese anime debuted on October 8, 2025, on TV Tokyo and BS11 channels. Crunchyroll is streaming the series globally, including in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions. The anime is directed by Hiroaki Sakurai at Studio DEEN, with Mitsutaka Hirota overseeing series scripts and Tomoyo Sawada designing characters. Ryuichi Takada from MONACA is composing the music.
Fans can now enjoy the comedic struggles of Iana as she attempts to rewrite her dark fictional past in this much-anticipated English dub.
