A Glimpse into the Story
The Holy Grail of Eris (Japanese: エリスの聖杯, Hepburn: Erisu no Seihai) is based on the light novel series written by Kujira Tokiwa and illustrated by Yuunagi. The story follows Constance Grail, a sincere but unassuming viscount’s daughter who finds herself framed for a crime and losing her fiancé. In her despair, she encounters the ghost of Scarlett Castiel, a beautiful and charismatic duchess executed ten years prior for her alleged wickedness. Scarlett possesses Connie, using her sharp intellect and charisma to turn the tables on Connie’s tormentors. In return, Connie agrees to help uncover the truth behind Scarlett’s untimely death and a larger conspiracy that continues to unfold.
The light novel series was originally serialized online and later published by SB Creative and Drecom Media. A manga adaptation by Hinase Momoyama has been serialized on Square Enix’s Manga Up! platform since November 2019. Yen Press publishes both the light novel and manga adaptations in North America.
