The upcoming anime adaptation of The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter (Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai) has revealed additional cast members, building anticipation for its January 2026 premiere. The series, based on Wakatsu Yatsuki and Kikka Ohashi’s popular isekai BL light novel, previously announced key voice actors and staff.

Fans can look forward to seeing the beloved characters brought to life by a talented voice cast, with the production helmed by Studio DEEN.

Key Cast Members Revealed for the Isekai BL Series

The latest announcements confirm the voices behind several pivotal characters, joining the previously revealed leads. The anime’s official teaser visual and promotional video have introduced viewers to the main characters and hinted at the unique blend of otherworld adventure, workplace drama, and Boys’ Love romance.

Reprising Roles: Kento Ito and Tomoaki Maeno Lead the Cast

Kento Ito will voice the protagonist, Seiichiro Kondo, a 29-year-old workaholic accountant accidentally transported to another world. Despite his new surroundings, Seiichiro’s dedication to his work remains, leading him to join the royal accounting department.

Tomoaki Maeno is cast as Aresh Indrak, the “handsome Commander Aresh” of the Third Knights’ Order, who develops an unexpected relationship with Seiichiro. Both Ito and Maeno are reprising their roles from a previous voice comic PV, expressing excitement to bring their characters to the anime format.

Additional Voices Bring the World to Life

The newly unveiled cast members further flesh out the world of The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter:

About “The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter”

The original light novel series, written by Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrated by Kikka Ohashi, began serialization in February 2019. Yen Press holds the English license for both the light novel and its manga adaptation.

The story centers on Seiichiro Kondou, a 29-year-old accountant who finds himself transported to the Romany Kingdom. Despite the kingdom’s offer to cover his living expenses as compensation, his inherent work ethic drives him to seek employment in the Royal Accounting Department. There, he encounters Commander Aresh Indrak, leading to an unexpected and unique relationship that unfolds amidst his efforts to streamline the royal finances.

The anime adaptation is set to premiere in January 2026. Further details regarding the broadcast schedule are expected to be announced closer to the release date.
