Theme Songs Set the Tone for Isekai BL Adventure
The main promotional video offered fans a new glimpse into the otherworldly workplace drama, accompanied by the newly announced theme songs. Kobore, known for their energetic rock sound, will provide the opening theme “Magic,” setting an engaging tone for Seiichirou Kondou’s adventures in the Romany Kingdom. Complementing this, Win Morisaki will perform the ending theme “Back to Back,” promising a resonant close to each episode. The announcement builds excitement for the series, which combines elements of fantasy, office life, and a developing romance.
Diving into “The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter”
Based on the popular light novel series written by Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrated by Kikka Ohashi, The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter follows Seiichirou Kondou, a nearly 30-year-old corporate employee whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is summoned to the Kingdom of Romani. Driven by his inherent workaholic nature, Seiichirou quickly finds himself employed in the royal accounting department. His meticulous nature soon clashes with the laid-back accounting practices of this new world.
A Unique Relationship Amidst Workplace Chaos
The narrative deepens as Seiichirou’s intense work ethic leads him to the brink of collapse, only to be saved by the enigmatic and handsome Commander Aresh Indrak of the Third Knights’ Order. Their developing relationship, initially rooted in a unique magical “treatment” for Seiichirou’s overexertion, forms the core emotional arc of the series, blending workplace challenges with a tender BL romance. This blend of isekai fantasy, professional accounting, and a compelling boys’ love story has garnered the series a significant following, with the light novels and manga collectively surpassing 1.4 million copies in circulation.

The anime adaptation is being produced by Studio DEEN, a studio with a history of working on BL titles.
