The upcoming anime adaptation of Kōki Fuyutsuki’s light novel series, “The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold To Another Kingdom” (完璧すぎて可愛げがないと婚約破棄された聖女は隣国に売られる, Kanpeki Sugite Kawaige ga Nai to Konyaku Haki Sareta Seijo wa Ringoku ni Urareru), has revealed its opening theme song and confirmed its TV debut for April 9, 2025. Fans of the fantasy romance series can look forward to the premiere on TV Tokyo at 24:00 JST (effectively April 10 at 12:00 AM), and on TV Aichi at 25:30 JST (1:30 AM).

Story Synopsis
“The Too-Perfect Saint” follows the story of Philia, a woman from a family of saints who is renowned as the greatest saint of all time. Destined to marry the second prince, Julius, her life takes an unexpected turn when Julius calls off the engagement, deeming her perfection unlikable and devoid of charm. As a result, Philia is sent to a neighboring country in exchange for gold and resources. Despite expecting mistreatment, she receives a warm welcome and utilizes her saintly abilities to aid her new community. However, her homeland soon faces a threat of destruction, adding a new layer of complexity to her journey.

Light Novel and Manga
Kōki Fuyutsuki debuted the series as a web novel on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” website in July 2020, concluding the story in January 2022. Overlap has published seven compiled book volumes, with the seventh volume released on December 25. A manga adaptation by Ayakita has also been serialized on Overlap’s Comic Gardo platform since November 2021.
Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed both the novel series and manga adaptation for English release.
