The popular action manga series, The Vermillion Mask (Japanese title: Shuiro no Kamen), is officially receiving an anime adaptation. Global animation label 100studio (also known as WOW Studio) has been tapped to produce the series. It has been serialized in Shōnen Gahōsha’s monthly magazine, YOUNG KING OURS, since 2021. The narrative centers on Peru, a young apprentice mask maker. His life takes a tragic turn when he loses control under the influence of a powerful cursed mask, leading to the accidental deaths of his master and comrades. Overwhelmed by guilt, Peru embarks on a journey of atonement, resolute in his mission to destroy all the legendary masks his late master had crafted, which are now scattered across the world. His quest for redemption sees him encountering both unexpected allies and formidable adversaries, leading to intense battles where the fate of his soul and the world hang in the balance.
