The anime adaptation of Sora Suigetsu and DeeCHA’s light novel series, Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi, S-Rank Bōkensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiro Madōshi ga Kikakugai Sugiru (The White Mage Who was Banished From the Hero’s Party is Picked Up by an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage is Too Out of the Ordinary!), has announced new cast members and additional staff. The series is scheduled to premiere in July 2025. This fantasy story follows Lloyd, a white mage who, after being banished from his party, finds himself accompanying an S-rank party on a quest. Unbeknownst to Lloyd, he is far from ordinary, setting the stage for a tale of unexpected adventure and hidden potential.

Production Details and Background
The anime series is being produced by Felix Film, with Hiroshi Tamada directing. Akihiko Inari is in charge of the series scripts, while Yuta Itō is designing the characters.
The original web novel by Sora Suigetsu debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website in March 2020. Futabasha began publishing the light novels with illustrations by DeeCHA in November 2020. A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno launched on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website in January 2021. The seventh volume of the light novel was released on November 29, with the eighth compiled book volume of the manga also released on the same day.
Story Synopsis
The fantasy story revolves around Lloyd, a white mage who is banished from the hero’s party. He then finds himself joining an S-rank party on a quest. Lloyd believes himself to be an ordinary adventurer, unaware of his true potential. The series follows his journey as he discovers his extraordinary abilities and rises to fame, all while remaining oblivious to his own exceptional nature.
This is a story of an extraordinary support magic user who thinks he is normal and becomes an adventurer while he is unaware of how he eventually becomes peerless.
