Veteran voice actor Tomoaki Maeno has been announced as a new cast member for Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse, david production’s first original television anime series. Maeno will lend his voice to the character Kunihito, a passionate public order official from Heian-kyō, making his debut in the anime’s 10th episode this Wednesday.

Plot Overview
The anime introduces Narihira Takeru, a delinquent high schooler from our world who finds himself unexpectedly transported to an alternate version of Heian-kyō, now called Denji Heian-kyō, after an accident. In this new world, he encounters Tsukimiya, a woman he has frequently seen in his dreams. Their initial meeting is cut short when they are both slain by an oni monster. However, Takeru awakens to discover he has the power to travel back in time, prompting him to train with Abe no Seimei to learn onmyōjutsu techniques and protect Tsukimiya. The series blends elements of isekai, time travel, and mystical battles between humans and oni.
