These sword warriors, known as Touken Danshi, are imbued with life by the Saniwa, who are charged with protecting history from the Historical Retrograde Army that seeks to alter it.
The Hanamaru series offers a more lighthearted and cheerful take on the Touken Ranbu world, focusing on the daily lives of the Touken Danshi.

Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~ is a film trilogy that continues the story of the Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru anime. The trilogy features the new Touken Danshi character Yamanbagiri Chōgi, voiced by Kengo Takanashi.
The three films in the trilogy are:
