Kyoto Animation has officially announced that singer TRUE will perform the theme song for “Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1.” The upcoming film, set to open in Japan on April 24, 2026, will feature TRUE’s new song, “ToCoda”.

A Familiar Voice Returns to Kitauji High

TRUE, a beloved artist within the Sound! Euphonium fandom, has a long-standing history with the popular anime franchise. Her distinctive vocals have become synonymous with the series’ orchestral journey, having performed theme songs for previous installments. Fans will recognize her contributions from the television anime series, including “Dream Solister” for the first season and “Soundscape” for the second season. She also provided the theme song “Blast!” for the 2019 film, Sound! Euphonium: The Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day.

Most recently, TRUE also performed the opening theme song “ReCoda” for Sound! Euphonium 3, the anime’s third season, which premiered on April 7.

The Road to the “Final Movie”

“Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1” is part of a two-part cinematic send-off for the series, continuing the story of Kumiko Oumae and the Kitauji High School Concert Band. The film is anticipated to delve into Kumiko’s third year in high school, adapting the narrative from Ayano Takeda’s original light novels. Kyoto Animation, the renowned studio behind the entire Sound! Euphonium anime series, continues its production.

The announcement of TRUE performing “ToCoda” for “The Final Movie Part 1” reinforces the strong connection between the artist and the beloved musical anime, promising another emotionally resonant theme to accompany the band’s final movements.
