After a significant delay, the anime adaptation of Masayuki Abe’s “Tsuyokute New Saga” (New Saga Plus) is back on track. The official website unveiled a promotional video, a key visual, and crucial updates on the cast and staff, confirming a July 2025 premiere on Tokyo MX and ABC channels.

A New Beginning: July 2025 Premiere

Originally slated for July 2023, the anime faced an unexpected postponement. Now, fans can mark their calendars for July 2025, as Kyle Lenard’s journey to rewrite history is finally set to unfold on screen. The premiere will be broadcasted on Tokyo MX and ABC networks, promising a wide reach for this highly anticipated fantasy anime. The latest trailer showcases Kyle Lenard’s return to his past, armed with the knowledge and experience gained from his previous life after defeating the Demon Lord. His mission: to avert the tragedies that await him and his companions.

Fresh Faces Join the Adventure: Additional Cast Members Revealed

Alongside the premiere date, the anime introduces new voice actors, enriching the ensemble cast.

  • Kaori Maeda as Milena, the princess of the Zirgus Kingdom.
  • Hiroki Yasumoto as Zentos, the Captain of the Royal Knights’ second division.
  • Riho Sugiyama as Miranda.

  • Asami Seto as Urza.
  • Minami Takahashi as Sildonia.

The new key visual prominently features these characters, hinting at their significance in the unfolding narrative.

Behind the Scenes: Changes in Production Staff

The production team has also undergone changes, with Naoki Mizusawa taking over as director, replacing Norikazu Ishigooka. The anime is now a collaborative effort between Sotsu and Studio Clutch, with assistance from STUDIO MASSKET, marking a shift from the previously credited Yokohama Animation Laboratory and Studio Makaria. Naoki Horiuchi joins as the series producer.

Key staff members include:

  • Original Story: Masayuki Abe
  • Original Character Design: Ryūta Fuse
  • Director: Naoki Mizusawa
  • Series Composition: Kenta Ihara
  • Character Design: Atsushi Asahi
  • Original Animation Character Design: Nilitsu
  • Music: Hironori Anazawa and Shacho
  • Director of Photography: Masaaki Onodera
  • Editing: Masato Yoshitake

“Tsuyokute New Saga”: A World Reimagined

“Tsuyokute New Saga,” penned by Masayuki Abe and illustrated by Ryuta Fuse, originated as a web novel series on Shōsetsuka ni Narō from May 2012 to June 2018. AlphaPolis later acquired the series, publishing ten volumes between April 2013 and July 2018. Jun Miura’s manga adaptation ran on AlphaPolis’ manga website from February 2014 to July 2023, also culminating in ten volumes. Alpha Manga publishes the manga digitally in English.

The story follows Kyle, a magic knight who, after a hard-fought battle, defeats the Demon Lord—or so he believes. Awakening in his past, in a land ravaged by destruction, he reunites with a loved one thought lost. Determined to prevent the world’s demise and protect his friends, Kyle leverages his memories from the future to rewrite destiny. This fantasy saga explores themes of time travel, redemption, and the重 要な power of knowledge.

A Closer Look at the Production

The anime adaptation is produced by Sotsu, with Kenta Ihara handling the series composition. Nilitsu is responsible for the original animation character designs, while Atsushi Asahi designs the characters for the anime. The music is composed by Hironori Anazawa and Shacho, adding depth and emotion to the series.

What to Expect

The promotional video offers a glimpse into the anime’s visual style and narrative direction. Fans can anticipate a blend of action, fantasy, and intrigue, as Kyle navigates his past with future knowledge. The new cast additions suggest expanded roles and deeper character development, promising a richer and more engaging viewing experience.

With a new director and studio on board, “Tsuyokute New Saga” aims to deliver a compelling adaptation of the beloved light novel series. The July 2025 premiere is a chance for both longtime fans and newcomers to immerse themselves in Kyle’s quest to change the future and save the world. The delay may have been disappointing, but with the new team and renewed focus, the anime is poised to make a significant impact in the fantasy genre.
