The highly anticipated second part of the Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray anime has officially revealed a new trailer and character visuals, confirming its premiere date for October 5, 2025. The announcement was made at a special livestreamed event, generating excitement among fans of the popular horse girl franchise.
The first cour of the anime concluded on June 29, 2025, after 13 episodes, and focused on the Tenno Sho race. The series is produced by Studio CygamesPictures and was initially announced as a split-cour anime, with a three-month break between its parts.

The recently released trailer for the second cour offers a glimpse into the upcoming story arc, which will feature “International Rivals” competing in the Japan Cup. This new footage hints at the challenges Oguri Cap, the protagonist, will face as she strives for national stardom.
In addition to the main trailer, a special video showcasing Tamamo Cross from Episode 13 was also released, further building anticipation for the continuation. New key art for the anime, featuring the main characters, has also been revealed.
Introducing New International Characters and Cast
The second cour will introduce a fresh set of international Uma Musume, complete with their voice actors:
- Shizuka Ishigami as Obey Your Master (American Uma Musume) – Described as cheerful, bright, and easygoing, with a mysterious aura. She has no notable track record and has never won a G1 race.
- Yuko Kaida as Toni Bianca (Italian Uma Musume) – Nicknamed the “European Champion,” she is the world’s strongest overseas contender for the Japan Cup after winning the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. She sees the Japan Cup as the culmination of her racing career.
- Akira Sekine as Moonlight Lunacy (UK Uma Musume) – Known as the “British Lady,” she exudes a dignified aura and is seeking revenge after missing out on victory in the previous Japan Cup.
- Ayahi Takagaki as Michelle My Baby (US Uma Musume) – Nicknamed the “American Giant,” she is known for her fierce racing style and powerful physique. She has won major races in the US and has a bright, friendly personality.
- Miyu Tomita as Ellerslie Pride (New Zealand Uma Musume) – The “Proud Beauty” and a major star in New Zealand, her finishing speed and beauty are considered world-class. She is passionate about winning the Japan Cup, Oceania’s long-cherished dream.
These new additions suggest a heightened level of competition and drama for Oguri Cap as she progresses in her racing career.
Returning Cast and Production Details
The core voice cast from the first cour will return, including Tomoyo Takayanagi as Oguri Cap, Momoko Seto as Belno Light, and Naomi Ozora as Tamamo Cross. Azusa Tadokoro voices Symboli Rudolf, Lynn is Maruzensky, and Yurina Amami takes on the role of Mr. C.B.
The anime is directed by Yuki Ito, with Aki Kindaichi handling series composition, and Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki serving as character designers. Kenji Kawai is responsible for the music, and Pierre Sugiura handles the script. CygamesPictures remains the animation studio. The opening theme for the anime’s second part will be performed by the band 10-FEET.

Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name, which is based on Cygames’ larger Uma Musume Pretty Derby mixed-media franchise. The manga, written by Masafumi Sugiura and illustrated by Taiyo Kuzumi, has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since June 2020 and has released 20 volumes as of July 2025. The manga entered its final arc on July 17, 2025.
The story follows Oguri Cap, a horse girl with a wild running style who defies expectations and is nicknamed the “monster” as she aims to become the strongest runner from the Kasamatsu Training Center Academy. The anime is currently streaming in select regions on platforms like Amazon Prime Video and the It’s Anime YouTube channel, as well as on Netflix. The franchise also includes a popular mobile game, previous TV anime seasons, web anime projects, and a recent anime film. The first cour of Cinderella Gray even won the Spring 2025 Anime of the Season award.
