In recent years, Furuya has continued to be prolific. He concluded the Bokutachi no Shinjū (Our Lovers’ Suicide) manga in October and the compiled book volume was shipped in December. Additionally, the first part of his Lunatic Circus manga concluded in September 2022, and the third compiled volume was published in November 2022. Many of his works have received adaptations, including stage plays, anime, and live-action films, highlighting his impact on various media. His one-volume Lychee Light Club was serialized between 2005 and 2006, and later adapted into a comedic anime and a live-action film.
