While the Japanese broadcast began on October 8, 2025, the English dubbed version has been confirmed for a November release on Hulu for U.S. viewers. For audiences outside the U.S., Disney+ is streaming the series.

“Wandance” centers on Kaboku Kotani, a first-year high school student who struggles with a stutter and prefers to remain unnoticed. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Hikari Wanda, a classmate who dances with uninhibited freedom and passion. Intrigued by her expressive movements, Kaboku is inspired to join the school’s dance club, hoping to find his own way to express himself and overcome his shyness. The “Wandance” anime adaptation is a collaborative effort by renowned animation studios Madhouse and Cyclone Graphics. Michiya Katō not only directs the series but also serves as the scriptwriter and is credited for visual effects. The series benefits from the expertise of celebrated dancer, choreographer, and singer RIEHATA, who is the anime’s dance producer, having created choreographies for globally recognized groups like BTS and EXO.
The original manga series, written and illustrated by Coffee, has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine since January 2019. Kodansha USA publishes the English version of the manga. The Japanese broadcast features “Stare In Wonder” by BE:FIRST as the opening theme and “Wondrous” by ELSEE as the ending theme. Naoki “naotyu-” Chiba is responsible for the anime’s soundtrack.
