The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Mitsuru Hattori’s manga, Wash It All Away (Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka.), has released its second promotional video, offering a sneak peek at the series’ ending theme song, “Wakaba no Koro” (Youthful Days) performed by Natsumi Kiyoura. The new trailer also re-confirmed the anime’s premiere date of January 5, 2026.

A Deeper Look into the Latest Promotional Video

The newly unveiled promotional video provides a more extensive look into the slice-of-life anime, showcasing further animation sequences and character interactions. Crucially, it marks the first time fans can hear a snippet of Natsumi Kiyoura’s “Wakaba no Koro,” which serves as the anime’s closing theme. This follows the earlier announcement that Yū. will perform the opening theme song, “Kirei” (Beautiful/Clean). Both songs are expected to be available for streaming concurrently with the series’ broadcast.

Unveiling the World of Wash It All Away

The Wash It All Away anime is based on Mitsuru Hattori’s manga, which was serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine from July 2017 to June 2023, concluding with ten collected volumes and an eleventh released on December 25, 2025. Square Enix also publishes the manga in English.

The Heartwarming Premise

The story centers on Wakana Kinme, a young woman who, for the past two years, has run the Kinme Cleaning laundry service in the picturesque seaside resort town of Atami. Wakana is admired by the local residents for her dedication to her trade and has built a fulfilling life, making friends and enjoying the town’s hot springs. A unique aspect of her work is her ability to safeguard memories imbued in her customers’ precious items through her cleaning services. Despite her cheerful demeanor and integration into the community, Wakana has no recollection of her past prior to starting her laundry business two years ago, adding a subtle layer of mystery to the otherwise tranquil narrative.

Key Staff and Cast Bringing Atami to Life

The anime adaptation is being produced by Studio Okuruto Noboru, with Kenta Onishi directing the series. Touko Machida is handling both the series composition and screenplays, while Azuma Tozawa is credited with character designs. The musical score for the series is composed by Eri Chichibu.

The main cast includes:

  • Sayumi Suzushiro as Wakana Kinme
  • Shuichiro Umeda as Kyūshō Ishimochi
  • Konomi Inagaki as Nairo Kataguchi
  • Yoshino Aoyama as Kuriru Wakasagi
  • Kento Shiraishi as Moruda Wakasagi
  • Ami Koshimizu as Asami Yagara
  • Wasabi Mizuta as Aji

Premiere Information

Wash It All Away is set to premiere on January 5, 2026, airing on Tokyo MX and other networks. Crunchyroll will be streaming the series. The anime promises to deliver a charming slice-of-life narrative, offering tranquility and heartwarming stories from the unique perspective of a laundry service in a vibrant seaside town.
