Point Set announced on Tuesday that Watomura’s romantic comedy manga, ‘Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!’ (also known as ‘Pardon the Intrusion, I’m Home!’), is officially getting a TV anime adaptation set to premiere in 2026. The announcement included details on the main cast and staff bringing the quirky “room-sharing” story to life.

Key Cast and Production Team Revealed

The upcoming anime has revealed its primary voice cast, featuring prominent talents in the industry. Kana Hanazawa will voice the protagonist, Rinko Nakama, who resides in apartment 602. Kaito Ishikawa is cast as Akito Satsuki from apartment 601, and Haruki Ishiya will play Haruma Usada, the occupant of apartment 603.

Leading the production is Itsuki Imazaki (known for Ai Mai Mi, Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World), who will direct the anime at Tatsunoko Production. Imazaki is also overseeing the series scripts, collaborating with Makoto Takada, who has contributed to scripts for titles such as Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World and Hensuki.

The Intriguing Premise of ‘Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!’

The romantic comedy centers on Rinko Nakama, a 24-year-old office worker who secretly harbors a deep love for anime and manga. Seeking solitude, she cherishes her alone time in her apartment, often unwinding with her favorite manga, “Usaneko-bu,” and anime. Her peaceful existence is disrupted, however, by a loud neighbor to her right who frequently bangs on the wall, demanding quiet whenever Rinko enjoys her otaku hobbies.

Seeking a solution, Rinko enlists the help of her polite, gentlemanly neighbor from the left, Akito Satsuki, to mediate. This attempt takes an unexpected turn when the right-side neighbor forcefully kicks down the wall, revealing himself to be Haruma Usada—who Rinko shockingly discovers is the creator of her beloved manga. The situation escalates further when Usada also breaches Satsuki’s wall, leading to a highly unusual and involuntary “room-sharing” arrangement among the three neighbors. This forced proximity sets the stage for the comedic and romantic developments of the series.

Manga’s Serialization History

Watomura’s original manga began its serialization in October 2020 within NTT Solmare’s Koisuru Soirée digital magazine. The chapters are also published online through services like Comic C’moa and other websites. As of January 2025, 26 chapters and volumes have been released. The series is also available in a webtoon format, with a printed version slated for publication by Enterbrain under their B’s Log Comics imprint starting December 1, 2025. For English-speaking audiences, the series is available on the MangaPlaza website. The manga is categorized under romantic comedy, shoujo, and webtoon genres, exploring themes of apartment life, otaku culture, and unexpected relationships.
