The Story: A Reluctant Heroine’s Magical Quest
The narrative of Whoever Steals This Book follows Mifuyu Mikura, a high school student living in Yomunagamachi, a town renowned for its love of books. Despite her family’s long-standing legacy of managing the vast Mikura Hall library, Mifuyu herself harbors a dislike for reading.
However, her peaceful, book-averse life takes an unexpected turn when several books are stolen from the library, triggering an ancient “Book Curse” that begins to transform the town according to the various stories contained within the stolen tomes. To lift the curse and restore order, Mifuyu, with the assistance of the enigmatic girl Mashiro, must embark on a perilous adventure, venturing into the very stories she despises to track down the thief and unravel the mysteries surrounding her family and the curse.
