Fans of the fantasy adventure anime “Wistoria: Wand and Sword” can anticipate the premiere of its second season in 2026. The announcement of the upcoming season was made alongside a special commemorative illustration celebrating the first anniversary of the anime’s broadcast.

The first season of “Wistoria: Wand and Sword” originally aired from July to September 2024, captivating audiences with its unique blend of magic and swordsmanship. While a specific release date within 2026 has not yet been revealed, the confirmation of the year provides a clear timeline for the series’ return. Crunchyroll, which simulcast the first season worldwide, is expected to stream the second season as well.

The anime adaptation is based on the Japanese manga series written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. The story follows Will Serfort, a hardworking boy who enters a magic academy despite lacking the ability to use magic, relying instead on his exceptional sword skills to achieve his goals. The first season was praised for its high production value and impressive visuals, particularly during action sequences. Tatsuya Yoshihara directed the first season, with Sayaka Ono handling character designs and Yuki Hayashi composing the music. Staff details for the second season have yet to be confirmed.
