The Witch Watch anime has revealed the cast and theme songs for its in-story anime series, Uron Mirage. This series-within-a-series, a favorite of characters Nico and Morihito’s teacher Yuri Makuwa and fellow student Kukumi, “hijacked” episode 14 of Witch Watch with its own episode titled “Chapter 119: Fuzzy Tōbatsu-4 (The Fuzzy Hunt Part 4)” which aired on July 6. This special segment dedicated the first 10 minutes of the 30-minute broadcast to a fully animated version of the Uron Mirage manga.
Uron Mirage Cast Revealed
The voice cast for the Uron Mirage in-story series features prominent voice actors, bringing its characters to life:
- Utsuro Akitsuki is voiced by Ryoko Shiraishi (known for Hayate Ayasaki in Hayate the Combat Butler).
- Oboro Namisaki is voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino (known for Present Mic in My Hero Academia).
- Sagiri Kusama is voiced by Hiro Shimono (known for Zenitsu in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba).
- Zack Balun is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (known for Taro Sakamoto in Sakamoto Days).
- Fuwa is voiced by Hochu Otsuka (known for Jiraiya in Naruto).
- Honoka Shirafuji is voiced by Ami Koshimizu (known for Sailor Jupiter in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal).
Theme Songs for Uron Mirage
Original theme songs were produced specifically for this special in-story anime. Who-ya Extended performs the opening theme song for Uron Mirage, titled “Bitter end”. The ending theme song, “FLASHBACK SYNDROME,” is performed by ALI. Creditless versions of both the opening and ending sequences have been released.
The Witch Watch anime itself premiered on April 6 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Its second cour began on June 29. The main Witch Watch anime features “Tokihanate!” by HashiMelo as its second cour opening theme and “Tsuki to Watashi no Kakurenbo” by Yutori as its ending theme.
