“Witch Watch” is a Japanese fantasy and romantic comedy series, originally a manga by Kenta Shinohara, which began its anime adaptation in April 2025. Episode 13 of the anime, titled “Werewolf – Shinkami Keigo – / Good Tiger, Proud Wolf / Easy and Super Charming,” premiered on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

This episode introduces new developments in the lives of Nico Wakatsuki, a witch-in-training, and her childhood friend Morihito Otogi, an ogre tasked with protecting her from a prophesied calamity.

The Arrival of Keigo Magami

Following the events of previous episodes, Keigo Magami, a werewolf, moves into the Otogi household. Keigo’s condition is unique: he transforms into a wolf not only during a crescent moon, but whenever he sees anything crescent-shaped. As a werewolf, Keigo is depicted as being “true to his desires,” influenced by basic needs such as sleep, food, and even attraction to the opposite sex. To mitigate the risk of accidental transformations, Nico, Morihito, Kanshi Kazamatsuri, and Keigo embark on a collective effort to remove all crescent-shaped objects from the house.

Nico’s Misguided Charm Spell

Another significant segment of Episode 13 involves Nico’s attempt to improve her cooking skills. Desiring to become more popular and impress Morihito, Nico tries to use a charm spell on her cooking. However, her spell goes awry, leading to an unexpected and literal interpretation: everyone who consumes her enchanted sweet and sour pork, including herself, falls head over heels in love with Nico herself.

Morihito, who thankfully avoided consuming Nico’s magically seasoned dishes, discovers that the powder she used contained the potent charm spell. The situation escalates when Nico accidentally spills some of the charm powder on herself, causing the entire town to fall for her. To break the spell, Nico must demonstrate her choice of one suitor over all others through a kiss. Much to Nico’s surprise, Morihito responds without hesitation, kissing her on the cheek. While this moment carries romantic implications, Morihito’s initial reaction is not one of deep sentiment, but rather a realization of Nemu’s presence, leading him to exploit the situation for a monthly exchange of forms between Wolf and Keigo.

Episode 13 continues the series’ blend of magical misadventures and comedic situations as Nico navigates her unpredictable powers and teenage life alongside her protective familiar.
