“With You and the Rain” is based on Ko Nikaido’s manga, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine in August 2020. The story is a heartwarming slice-of-life tale centered around a woman named Fuji who encounters and adopts a unique creature resembling a dog on a rainy day. This “dog-poster,” as described, offers Fuji an umbrella and a cue card asking to be taken home, leading to a charming adventure of friendship.
