REMOW, the distribution company for the upcoming anime adaptation of Chihiro Yuzuki’s manga With You, Our Love Will Make it Through (Japanese title: Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru), has officially announced the series will premiere on October 14, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that not only showcased additional cast members but also previewed the opening theme song, “Kusuguttai” (Ticklish), performed by the popular musical unit CHiCO with HoneyWorks.
A Glimpse into the World of Beastfolk and Humans
The With You, Our Love Will Make it Through anime delves into a fantastical coming-of-age love story set in a world where beastfolk and humans coexist, albeit with some prejudice. The narrative centers on high schooler Mari Asaka, whose ordinary life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Tsunagu Hidaka, a beastfolk transfer student who joins her class. Despite her initial trepidation, Mari finds herself drawn to Tsunagu’s gentle and kind nature as they spend more time together. The manga, serialized on Shueisha’s Manga Mee platform since May 2019, has garnered significant attention, boasting a total circulation of 1.2 million copies and 53 million PVs on Manga Mee as of December 2024.
Expanded Voice Cast to Bring Characters to Life
The latest trailer confirmed a new addition to the already announced cast. Ai Kakuma, known for her role as Albis in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, will join the ensemble as Kisara, a feline-type beastfolk. She joins previously announced main cast members:
- Manaka Iwami as Mari Asaka
- Takuya Eguchi as Tsunagu Hidaka
- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Yukihiro Aida
Voice actors Manaka Iwami and Takuya Eguchi have expressed their excitement about the project, with Iwami captivated by the romance between a beastfolk and a human, and Eguchi focusing on portraying the complex emotions of Tsunagu as a beastfolk. Ai Kakuma also shared her anticipation for how Kisara will interact with Mari and Tsunagu, particularly looking forward to seeing Kisara’s tail movements animated.
CHiCO with HoneyWorks Returns for Opening Theme
The new trailer notably featured a preview of the opening theme song, “Kusuguttai,” performed by CHiCO with HoneyWorks. This marks a significant return for the group. CHiCO with HoneyWorks has a strong history of contributing opening and ending themes to various anime series, including Ao Haru Ride, Gintama, Haikyuu!! To The Top, and Rent-A-Girlfriend. CHiCO with HoneyWorks commented on their thrill to perform the opening theme, highlighting how the story’s interspecies love made their hearts flutter and describing “Kusuguttai” as being “filled with Mari-chan’s heartfelt emotions.”
