The television anime adaptation of Enju’s light novel series, Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods (Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei), has announced the addition of Yoshiki Nakajima and Daiki Kobayashi to its cast. Nakajima will voice the character Fūjin, while Kobayashi will take on the role of Raijin in the upcoming series, slated for a 2026 premiere.
New Voice Actors Bring Divine Characters to Life
Yoshiki Nakajima and Daiki Kobayashi are set to portray key divine figures in Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods. Nakajima, known for his roles in various anime, will lend his voice to Fūjin, a god associated with wind. Similarly, Kobayashi will voice Raijin, the god of thunder, adding to the spiritual ensemble of the series. This announcement was accompanied by a special “moon viewing” visual to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, offering fans a new glimpse into the anime’s aesthetic.

The Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods anime is an adaptation of Enju’s fantasy slice-of-life light novel series, which began serialization on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2021. ASCII Media Works later picked up the series for publication, with illustrations by ox. The story follows Minato Kusunoki, who finds himself living in a house in the countryside. After his unique abilities clear the residence of evil spirits, an array of peculiar and unique gods are drawn to the comfort of the purified Kusunoki home, leading to a peaceful co-existence.
Previously Announced Cast and Production Details
Prior to this latest announcement, the production team revealed other prominent cast members. Shogo Sakata is cast as the protagonist, Minato Kusunoki, while Shinshu Fuji will voice Yamagami. Additionally, Minako Kotobuki joins as Torika, Shinnosuke Tokudome as Seri, and Makoto Koichi as Utsugi, rounding out a diverse cast inhabiting Minato’s spiritual abode.
The anime is scheduled to debut in 2026, building anticipation for fans of the light novel and its manga adaptation. Yen Press has licensed the light novel series for English release, further broadening its global reach.
