The upcoming television anime adaptation of Mareho Kikuishi and Tsubata Nozaki’s sci-fi crime suspense light novel series, Your Forma, is set to have its world premiere at Kawaii Kon in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 15, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. local time. Anime distributor REMOW made the announcement, building excitement for the series which is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in April.
First Look: Episodes 1-3 and Director’s Commentary
Attendees of Kawaii Kon will be the first to view the first three episodes of Your Forma. In addition to the early screening, director Takaharu Ozaki (Girls’ Last Tour, Goblin Slayer) will provide commentary on the episodes, offering insights into the production and creative decisions behind the anime. Attendees will also receive an original Your Forma booklet. The event takes place at Room 310.

Kawaii Kon: A Celebration of Japanese Culture
Kawaii Kon is an annual three-day event celebrating Japanese anime, manga, and pop culture. The convention takes place at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu, HI, from March 14-16, 2025. In addition to the Your Forma premiere, Kawaii Kon 2025 will feature panels, tabletop games, esports, guests, concerts, exhibitors, and an artist alley.

‘Your Forma’: Diving into a Cyberpunk World
Your Forma is set in an alternate 2023 where a pandemic of viral encephalitis in 1992 led to the development of “Your Forma,” an invasive information device implanted in the brain. This technology records every sight, sound, and emotion, becoming integral to daily life.
Synopsis
The story follows Echika Hieda, a prodigious “Electronic Investigator” who dives into people’s memories via the Your Forma to solve crimes. Isolated by her talent, she is partnered with Harold Lucraft, a blonde, blue-eyed humanoid “Amicus.” Together, they uncover hidden secrets and confront the implications of this technology.
Production Details
The anime adaptation is produced by Twin Engine and animated by Geno Studio. The series is directed by Takaharu Ozaki, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Girls’ Last Tour, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) handling series composition. Chikashi Kadekaru (Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, Mieruko-chan) is designing the characters, and Tatsuya Katō (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club) is composing the music.

Premiere and Broadcast Information
Your Forma will premiere on TV Asahi’s “IMAnimation W” programming block on Wednesdays at 11:45 p.m. JST, starting on April 2, 2025. International streaming platforms will be announced soon. The opening theme song is “GRIDOUT,” performed by yama.
Starting with Volume 2
The anime’s story will begin with the second volume of the light novels, focusing on Harold and the RF Amicus androids’ origins, as Harold and his “brother” units are suspected of a crime.
Light Novel and Manga
The Your Forma light novel series, written by Mareho Kikuishi and illustrated by Tsubata Nozaki, began publication in March 2021 under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint. As of August 2023, six volumes have been released. Yen Press has licensed the series for English publication.
Manga Adaptation
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yoshinori Kisaragi, was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine from June 2021 to September 2023, with three collected volumes. Yen Press has also licensed the manga adaptation.
