The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Nana Ōtori’s light novel series, “May I Ask for One Final Thing?” (Saigo ni Hitotsu dake Onegai shitemo Yoroshii Deshō ka), has unveiled new cast members and a confirmed Fall 2025 release date. A promotional video offering a first look at the anime has also been released, generating excitement among fans of the series.

‘May I Ask for One Final Thing?’ Anime Overview

“May I Ask for One Final Thing?” is a Japanese light novel series by Nana Ōtori, with illustrations by Satsuki. The story follows Scarlet El Vandimion, a noblewoman whose engagement to the Second Prince Kyle is suddenly called off during a ball. Falsely accused of bullying and labeled a “Villainess,” Scarlet is denounced by the aristocracy. After enduring years of abuse from Kyle, she decides to take a stand, asking for one final request: to give him a good fist in the face. This marks the beginning of Scarlet’s revenge story against Kyle and his cronies, a fantasy tale of an elegant yet rebellious fighter.

Production Details

The anime adaptation is produced by Liden Films Kyoto Studio, with Kazuya Sakamoto (She and Her Cat: Everything Flows) directing the series. Deko Akao (VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral After Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream) is handling the series composition, while Eriko Haga (Kaginado) is in charge of character designs. The music is composed by Hinako Tsubakiyama, and Satoshi Motoyama serves as the Sound Director.

Cast

The confirmed cast members include:

  • Asami Seto as Scarlet El Vandimion
  • Wataru Kato as Julius Von Pallistan
  • Shoya Ishige as Leonardo El Vandimion
  • Miyu Tomita as Nanaka
  • Kazuki Ura as Sigurd Forgrave
  • Taito Ban as Kyle Von Pallistan
  • Taito Ban as Terenezza Hopkins.

Story and Themes

The series blends action, fantasy, and romance, with a strong emphasis on revenge and overcoming adversity. The main character, Scarlet, is portrayed as a strong and independent woman who fights against injustice and stands up for herself. The anime explores themes of:

  • Revenge: Scarlet seeks to avenge the wrongs done to her by Kyle and his allies.
  • Female Empowerment: Scarlet defies societal expectations and fights for her own justice.
  • Social Justice: The story critiques the corruption and unfairness within the aristocracy.

Where to Watch

The anime is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2025 and will be streamed on Crunchyroll in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Reception

The light novel and manga series have gained popularity for their engaging plot and strong female lead. The anime adaptation is highly anticipated by fans of the series and is expected to attract a wider audience.
