HIDIVE, the anime-focused streaming service, has announced that it will stream the television anime adaptation of Nakanosora’s manga series, Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!, as part of its Spring 2025 simulcast lineup. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 6, 2025, on Tokyo MX and BS11, with HIDIVE streaming the series starting April 6th.

Storyline: A Reverse Isekai Romantic Comedy

Yandere dark elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World! is a reverse isekai romantic comedy. The story follows Hinata Sunohara, an orphan and former hero who, after defeating the Demon Lord in another world, returns to his normal life in Japan. However, his peaceful days are disrupted when Mariabelle, a dark elf and his former companion, appears in his apartment, professing her undying love for him. Hinata must now navigate his high school life while dealing with Mariabelle’s obsessive affection and jealous tendencies. He helps her adjust to life on Earth, but must cope with her constant attempts to seduce him, and murderous jealousy of any girl he interacts with, like his classmate Sakura Mochida.

Characters of Yandere Dark Elf

The anime features a cast of characters, each with their own unique traits and roles in the story:

  • Hinata Sunohara: Voiced by Rie Kawamura, Hinata is the protagonist, a kind-hearted former hero who saved another world. Orphaned at a young age, Hinata now lives alone in a Tokyo apartment. His cooking skills are top-notch. When Belle suddenly arrives from another world, he decides to let her live with him.
  • Mariabelle: Voiced by Minami Takahashi, Mariabelle is a dark elf with striking black hair and a model-like physique. Nicknamed “Belle,” she is deeply in love with Hinata, often causing trouble in her attempts to pursue him.
  • Sakura Mochida: Voiced by Kyouka Maruyama, Sakura is Hinata’s classmate and admirer. Though she harbors feelings for him, she also grows fond of Belle, keeping her emotions private. An avid fan of anime and manga, particularly isekai fantasies.
  • Mei: Voiced by Ayumi Mano, Mei is a cheerful demi-human girl who once adventured with Hinata in another world. She is the group’s mood-maker.
  • Cecile: Voiced by Hinako Takahashi, Cecile is a priestess who adventured alongside Hinata in another world. Serious by nature, she comes to the human world to retrieve Belle, who arrived without permission.

Simulcast and Censorship

The broadcast version of the anime will have visual and audio censoring and will be available on AnimeFesta and DMM TV. The “&deregula&” or uncensored version will also be available on DMM TV and other streaming services, which will have audio censoring and partial visual censoring. The “&complete deregula&” or complete uncensored version will be streamed on AnimeFesta and included on the home video release.

Manga Origins
