Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the acquisition of licenses for four new Boys’ Love (BL) and danmei titles, including “Everything for Demon King Evelogia” and “Laughter in the Sunshine.” The announcement, made on July 30, 2025, expands their extensive catalog of LGBTQ+ themed manga and novels.
Spotlight on New Licenses
The newly licensed titles span both manga and danmei (Chinese Boys’ Love novels), catering to diverse reader preferences within the genre.
Everything for Demon King Evelogia
Io Kajiwara’s “Everything for Demon King Evelogia” is a mature-rated Boys’ Love manga that served as the inspiration for an anime adaptation. The story follows Toshiaki Ushito, also known as Gozu, a social outcast who is transported into his favorite video game after being killed. There, he encounters Demon King Evelogia, the game’s final boss, who is still in a younger, lonely form. Gozu’s passionate pursuit of the Demon King begins as he blurts out his affection. The first volume of “Everything for Demon King Evelogia” is slated for release in April 2026. It will be available in single large-trim paperback editions under the Seven Seas BL Label, with ebook editions also available.
Laughter in the Sunshine
“Laughter in the Sunshine” by FUUKI MARU is a Boys’ Love manga described as a sweet romance. The plot centers on Taiyo Kiriyama, who, despite apartment rules against pets, tries to smuggle in an abandoned cat. He is caught by building manager Asahi Taira, who agrees to let him keep the cat for a month if Taiyo becomes his errand boy. As Taiyo’s feelings for Asahi grow, he discovers Asahi is already in love with someone else. “Laughter in the Sunshine” Volume 1 is scheduled for a May 2026 release as a large-trim paperback under the Seven Seas BL Label, with digital editions also planned.
Other Noteworthy Acquisitions
Beyond these two highlighted titles, Seven Seas Entertainment has also licensed additional Boys’ Love and danmei series.
The Lucky Egg Game: Cai Dan You Xi
“The Lucky Egg Game: Cai Dan You Xi” is a danmei novel series by Bo Mu Bing Lun. This action-packed series follows two young men who must survive a deadly supernatural game after their university campus is sealed off and students turn into zombies, leaving only a few, including Lin Jue, with mysterious “easter eggs.” The first volume of this danmei novel is set to be released in English in July 2026 as a large-trim paperback under the Seven Seas Danmei label, with ebook versions available.
Remnant: Beastmen Omegaverse
Hana Hasumi’s “Remnant: Beastmen Omegaverse” is a mature-rated Boys’ Love omegaverse manga. The story focuses on an orphaned omega who will go to great lengths to keep his small family, including his younger sister, together, even if it means trusting a mysterious alpha. The first volume is scheduled for a June 2026 release as a large-trim paperback under the Seven Seas BL Label, with ebook editions also available.
Marriage to the Wolf: The Tale of an Inter-species Union
“Marriage to the Wolf: The Tale of an Inter-species Union” by Hana Inui is another Boys’ Love manga focusing on an inter-species romance. The plot involves Kaede, a young man from the rabbit tribe, who is chosen to be the new bride for a distinguished, yet dangerous, wolf family. Despite his reluctance to marry, especially a wolf, Kaede agrees to help his family secure supplies and food for two years. The first volume is expected to be released in July 2026 as a large-trim paperback under the Seven Seas BL Label, also with ebook editions available.
