The latest installment in the “Duel Masters LOST” project, Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ (Duel Masters LOST ~Oblivion Sun~), has officially begun its manga serialization, with an anime adaptation confirmed to premiere in early 2026. This new series marks the third part of the “Duel Masters LOST” narrative, continuing the alternate timeline story within the popular franchise.

The Continuing Saga of Duel Masters LOST

Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ is the newest chapter in the “Duel Masters LOST” multimedia project, which offers a darker, alternate take on the Duel Masters Win storyline. The overarching plot centers on Win Kirifuda, a 16-year-old protagonist who has lost his memories and finds himself embroiled in a battle to reclaim his world. The series is set against a backdrop of mysterious disappearances in Shinjuku City, Tokyo, where Win’s stagnant life is transformed by the arrival of a mysterious transfer student, Crysta, who claims to know him.

Manga Serialization Details

The Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ manga is written by franchise creator Shigenobu Matsumoto and illustrated by Yō Kanebayashi. It is being serialized on Shogakukan’s Weekly CoroCoro Comic website. This installment follows Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō (Duel Masters LOST: Crystal of Remembrance), which ran from February to March 2024, and Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~ (Duel Masters LOST: Reaper of the Moon), which serialized from August 2024 to February 2025.

Anime Adaptation Details

The anime adaptation for Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ is slated to debut in early 2026. Animation production for the “Duel Masters LOST” anime series is handled by J.C.STAFF. The creative team for the previous “LOST” anime entries, including Toshinori Fukushima as director, Yoichi Kato for series composition, Chikara Hashizume handling animation character designs, and Takeshi Takadera for sound direction, are expected to continue their roles. Additionally, Shotaro Uzawa and Wataru Hatano are expected to reprise their roles as Win Kirifuda and Abyssbell = Jashin Emperor, respectively.

Previous Anime Installments

The “Duel Masters LOST” anime project commenced with Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō, which debuted on the official Duel Masters YouTube channel in October 2024 and ran for four episodes. Its sequel, Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~, premiered on December 21, 2024, across the franchise’s “DuelTube” YouTube channel and other platforms, concluding its four-episode run on February 28, 2025. These short web anime series have served to introduce fans to the alternative narrative and the darker tone of the “LOST” project.

Fans can anticipate further details regarding the Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ anime as its early 2026 premiere approaches.
