What’s the Story About?
“Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits” is an isekai comedy that follows Ellen, a young girl who is reincarnated from modern-day Japan into a fantasy world. In this new life, she is the daughter of Rovel, the legendary hero who saved the kingdom, and Origin, the primordial queen and ruler of all spirits. As a half-spirit, Ellen possesses the unique ability to manipulate the elements, drawing upon her past life’s knowledge and her innate magical powers to protect her family.

From Web Novel to Anime Sensation
The series began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (“Let’s Become Novelists”) website, where it was serialized from September 2016 to November 2020. It gained enough popularity to be acquired by Fujimi Shobo, who published nine light novel volumes under their Kadokawa Books imprint from March 2018 to October 2022. The light novel series is written by Matsuura and illustrated by keepout.
Manga Adaptation
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yutaka Ohhori, has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine since September 2018. As of March 2025, the manga has 11 volumes released. The English version is available digitally via Comikey and the Manga UP! Global app.
