About DAN DA DAN
DAN DA DAN is based on the manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu, which debuted in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump Plus in April 2021. The manga has quickly gained popularity, with its chapters collected into 18 tankobon volumes as of January 2025, and the 19th volume slated for release on April 4th, 2025.
Story
The story follows Momo Ayase, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and Okarun, an occult-obsessed classmate who believes in aliens. The two have contrasting beliefs, with Momo believing in ghosts but denying the existence of aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but dismisses ghosts.
To prove each other wrong, they venture into supernatural hotspots: Momo heads to an abandoned hospital known for UFO sightings, and Okarun investigates a haunted tunnel. They soon discover that both ghosts and aliens are real, leading them to awaken hidden powers and challenge paranormal forces together.
