Story and Setting
The anime is set in a high-tech metropolitan city where citizens live peacefully, unaware of the lurking dangers. Seven years prior, a major disaster devastated human civilization, but the city has miraculously recovered. However, a new threat emerges: the Tesseracter, monsters born from human malice and desire. The only ones who can save the city are a group of singing witches known as the “Daughters of the Witch.”

The Kamitsubaki City Under Construction anime will premiere on July 3, 2025, airing on 28 TBS and affiliated channels throughout Japan at 11:56 p.m. JST (10:56 a.m. EDT).
Advance Theatrical Edition
Before the TV premiere, fans can watch an advance theatrical version, Kamitsubaki City Under Construction. Majo no Musume -Witchling- (Kamitsubaki City Under Construction Witch’s Daughter -Witchling-), in a limited two-week screening run in Japan starting on June 13, 2025. Advance tickets will be available starting March 28.
Novel Adaptation
