What’s the Story?
“Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon” tells the tale of Light, a human adventurer in a world where humans are the weakest race. He is a member of the “Gathering of Tribes,” an adventurer group. Narrowly escaping death, Light discovers a unique ability: the “Unlimited Gacha.” This gift allows him to summon powerful allies. He uses this ability to amass a group of incredibly strong, loyal, and beautiful warriors. Three years later, having built his own kingdom within the dungeon, Light, now a Level 9999 Overlord, sets his sights on revenge against those who betrayed him.

- Sionne: She made a pact with a soul dragon, a monster from another world in hopes to reach her goal.
- Aoyuki: A genius beast tamer capable of controlling monsters.
- Eri: A forbidden witch who has mastered various forms of magic.
- Nazuna: A true vampire knight and rumored to be the strongest warrior.
- Suzu: A gunner who carries a talking musket.
- Mera: A chimera whose body consists of countless creatures.
Light Novel and Manga
The original light novel series is written by Shisui Meikyō and illustrated by tef. It began serialization online in April 2020 and was later published by Hobby Japan in May 2021.
A manga adaptation by Takafumi Ōmae has been published by Kodansha since May 2021.
